Community Connection

As a business, we focus on serving the needs of neighbors in our District, so it’s no surprise that giving back to our communities is an important part of our employee experience.

Through Fedcorps, our Bank-sponsored and employee-run volunteer organization, employees give back to their communities. Every year, volunteers chose to support dozens of nonprofit organizations in their local communities. Volunteer opportunities include fundraising events, food and materials collections, maintenance and construction projects, mentoring young people and staffing events.

Richmond Fed employees also may support the community through an annual United Way drive and Junior Achievement teaching opportunities. In support of our long history of volunteering in our community, the Richmond Fed offers employees 16 hours of paid leave to participate in volunteer activities, including volunteer service within schools.
