Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond since 2009
Jenny Morgan is president and chief executive officer of basys, inc., which provides benefit administrative solutions for multi-employer third-party administrators and Taft Hartley funds in the United States and Canada. She joined basys in 2009.
Previously, Morgan was a principal at Sterling Partners, a private equity firm responsible for investments and portfolio companies in health care. Her early career includes serving as chief executive officer of VIPS Inc., an information technology firm working with commercial health care and public payer markets. During her tenure, she tripled the company’s revenue and led its successful sale in 2004 to Web MD (now Emdeon Business Services), leading to her promotion a year later to executive vice president for payer services at WebMD.
Her industry affiliations have included Twin Technologies, the Mirixa Corp. and Mercantile Bankshares. In 2005, she received the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Baltimore for her success with VIPS. She also received the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 Award for four consecutive years and was named one of the top 100 women in Maryland in 2005.
Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University and a master’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University.
