Anita Newcomb is president of A.G. Newcomb & Co., a strategic consulting firm she founded in 1999. Her experience spans more than two decades in financial services as a CEO, investment banker and strategic consultant. Her expertise includes corporate development activities ranging from strategic planning and consumer and business banking strategy development, to capital plans, branch transactions, value and structuring acquisitions and organization assessments.
Newcomb was formerly president, chief executive officer and board member of ACB Business Partners, the for-profit subsidiary of America’s Community Bankers, a large national banking trade association. Her career also includes working as managing director with Professional Bank Services, Inc., principal with The Secura Group and vice president of BEI Golembe, as well as vice president of strategic planning and senior mergers and acquisitions specialist with Security Pacific Corp. and investor relations officer and corporate secretary with Cullen / Frost Bankers, Inc.
Her business and community affiliations include the Advisory Board of the College of Business at Auburn University, which honored her in 2008 among 40 distinguished business alumni. She also has been involved with the Women’s Leadership Institute at Auburn and the Women’s Advisory Board of Mass Mutual’s Washington Group.
Newcomb earned an accounting degree with honors from Auburn, followed by an MBA in finance with distinction from the University of Houston. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
