Linda Rabbitt is founder, chairman and chief executive officer of rand* construction corporation, a commercial construction company. Washington Business Journal and Washingtonian magazine have cited rand* in rankings of great places to work.
The Professional Women in Construction D.C. Chapter presented a lifetime achievement award to Rabbitt for her outstanding contributions and career achievements. Other recognition of her business leadership includes the Award for Distinguished Entrepreneurial Achievement from George Washington University and induction into the Washington Business Hall of Fame, sponsored by Junior Achievement and Washingtonian magazine. She received the Outstanding Impact Award from the Commercial Real Estate Women and the “Women Who Make a Difference” award from the International Women’s Forum. Other accolades include the “Women Who Mean Business” award from the Washington Business Journal, “Exceptional Leadership” award from the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital and “Washingtonian of the Year” from Washingtonian magazine for community service.
Her business outreach includes leadership roles with the Federal City Council, the Economic Club of Washington, George Washington University, Towers Watson and the National Association of Corporate Directors. Her past leadership includes the Greater Washington Board of Trade, Women’s Forum of Washington, D.C., the Washington Building Congress, and Commercial Real Estate Women.
Rabbitt earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree from George Washington University.
