A native of Maryland, Michael Stough joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in 2012 as general auditor. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Mary Washington College and a master's degree in business/IT management from Johns Hopkins University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor and is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls. Mr. Stough's professional experience includes a number of years as a partner in an international "Big 4" accounting firm as well as a senior audit executive with a leading banking institution.
