Supervision Economists

Economists in the Risk and Policy unit of Supervision, Regulation and Credit conduct academic and policy-driven research on a broad range of topics designed to inform and educate supervisory staff, our Bank’s senior management and president, and their peers. Our staff identifies and provides timely analysis of critical and emerging issues and regularly updates management on banking conditions in the nation and in the Fifth District. They regularly participate in bank exams, providing specialized exam support in technical areas. Our current areas of interest include the impact of Basel III capital rules, Dodd-Frank Act regulatory reforms, bank performance during and after the financial crisis, systemic risk and macro prudential regulation.
