Overview

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, in partnership with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Maryland Bankers Association and the Baltimore Neighborhood Collaborative, will host a one-day forum on the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and community development in today’s economic environment.

This forum will provide up-to-date information on CRA that is practical and immediately useful for both lenders and community-based organizations. The morning will include CRA and economic overviews and two concurrent training sessions: one for CRA and compliance officers and the other for community-based organizations and nonprofits. A working lunch will explore CRA best practices, challenges and opportunities with presentations by a series of bank and community partners.

Audience

Financial institutions, regulators, nonprofit organizations, community development professionals, affordable housing developers, community development financial institutions, intermediaries, housing counselors, and other key community leaders should plan to attend.
