Undergraduate students within the Fifth Federal Reserve District are invited to participate in the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s College Fed Challenge—an academic competition designed to expand college students' understanding of the Fed's unique role in the economy and the importance of Federal Open Market Committee decisions.
The competition will challenge teams to present analysis of economic conditions and recommend an appropriate course for monetary policy. Participating teams must also be prepared to answer a variety of questions from judges about their presentation and the Federal Reserve.
The Richmond office winner will move on to compete against the Baltimore and Charlotte office winners at the district level for a chance to represent the Fifth District in the national competition at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
Registration is limited to one team per college or university, and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Please confirm that you are registering for the correct local office competition by reading the Eligibility and Competition Areas information during the registration process.
