2012 Economic Educator Awards

The Virginia Council on Economic Education (VCEE), in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, encourages educators to share their successes and be recognized for their innovation in the classroom!

Nominations accepted for:
Virginia's Outstanding Economic Educator for 2012 ($1000 Award)
• An educator with a sustained history of commitment and contribution to economic and financial education

Teachers or administrators are encouraged to nominate themselves or a colleague.

Educators submit lesson/unit for:
Outstanding Economics or Personal Finance Lesson or Unit K-12
$1000 1st Place, $750 2nd Place, $500 3rd Place, $250 4th Place
• Entries may be single lesson or unit of study

Technology K-12
$1000 Award
• Lesson/Unit must utilize technology such as videos, power points and/or podcasts

VCEE Institute Graduate
$1000 Award
• Lesson/Unit developed and taught by a teacher who has completed VCEE Economics or Personal Finance Institute in 2010, 2011 or 2012 and has put the knowledge into practice

A single entry may be considered in all relevant categories.

Entry forms and details on vcee.org. All entries MUST be received by August 1, 2012. The Economic Educator Awards are made possible by funding from the Virginia Housing Development Authority and the Virginia Credit Union. Winning entries will be announced in October.
