Virginia State University Wins Richmond Fed Video Contest

Students from Virginia State University won the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s third annual Share the Wealth financial literacy video contest. The competition was open to undergraduate students from throughout the Fifth Federal Reserve District, who were challenged to create short videos to help high school students make informed decisions about post-high school education. The two winning videos concentrated on the importance of finishing high school.

The first place video, titled “Change,” was created by Sarah Etuk, Jaznee Wilson and John Williams of Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va. The second-place video, “Don’t Be a Fool, Stay in School,” was created by Carolina Gaeta, Katherine Marsten and Savannah McAmis of the University of Richmond in Richmond, Va.

The winning videos can be viewed on the Richmond Fed's YouTube Channel.
