High schools across Virginia are seeing a new emphasis on the teaching of economics and personal finance this year with the addition of a requirement that students take a course to graduate. To support teachers in their instruction of the course, the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and other organizations collaborated to launch a new website called TeachingMoneyVA.org — a resource clearinghouse where Virginia’s high school teachers can find quality lesson plans and other materials to use in teaching Virginia’s new economics and personal finance course.
