The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond announces the following officer appointments:
Jay Hart has been appointed to the position of assistant vice president in the Information Technology department, with responsibility for leading a team of data and software architects in application development. Hart, who joined the Richmond Fed in 1988, has been a senior application architect. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater College. The appointment was effective Sept. 11.
Bary Dalton has been appointed as an assistant vice president in the Information Technology department, with responsibility for managing the information security function. Dalton had been director of information security operations. He joined the Richmond Fed in 2008 from the San Francisco Fed, where he held a number of information technology and security positions. Dalton holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree from Norwich University. His appointment was effective Nov. 1.
The Richmond Fed serves the Fifth Federal Reserve District, which includes the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and most of West Virginia. As part of the nation's central bank, we're one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that work together with the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors to strengthen the economy and our communities. We manage the nation's money supply to keep inflation low and help the economy grow. We also supervise and regulate financial institutions to help safeguard our nation's financial system and protect the integrity and efficiency of our payments system.
