The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond announces the following officer appointments:
Rebecca Goldberg has been promoted to vice president in the Currency Technology Office. The appointment was effective April 16.
Goldberg joined the Richmond Fed in 2013 as an assistant vice president in the CTO, which provides technical services to the U.S. Treasury, Secret Service and cash processing operations in the Federal Reserve System. Previously, Goldberg was director of IT project management in enterprise data services at Capital One, and worked for several companies in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park.
Goldberg earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer engineering at North Carolina State University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Gail Ball has been hired as an assistant vice president in the Payments Studies Group, part of the Richmond Fed’s payments services function. Her appointment was effective April 28.
Ball joins the Fed from Capital One, where she has been senior vice president for commercial banking operations and also represented the company on the Richmond Fed’s Payments Advisory Council. Previously, she was senior vice president for treasury at NCO Financial Systems.
Ball received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and earned a professional master’s in banking certificate from Louisiana State University’s executive banking program.
