Richmond Fed Announces Appointment of Officer

Richmond, Va.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond announces the following officer appointment:

Dennis Ott was promoted to the position of assistant vice president in the Bank’s Information Technology department. Ott has responsibilities for application development in this newly created position. The promotion was effective February 1.

Ott, who has more than 30 years experience in information technology, joined the Richmond Fed in 1993. He has worked in application development and held management and supervisory positions elsewhere in the Bank’s IT group.

Ott is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and completed additional studies at the University of South Alabama. He served 20 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve.

The Richmond Fed serves the Fifth Federal Reserve District, which includes the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and most of West Virginia. As part of the nation's central bank, we're one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that work together with the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors to strengthen the economy and our communities. We manage the nation's money supply to keep inflation low and help the economy grow. We also supervise and regulate financial institutions to help safeguard our nation's financial system and protect the integrity and efficiency of our payments system.
