The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond announces the following officer appointment:
James T. "Tommy" Nowlin was promoted to the position of vice president with responsibility for the Bank’s Law Enforcement Unit. The promotion is effective April 1.
Nowlin, who joined the Fed in 2007, previously served 25 years with the Chesterfield County Police Department in suburban Richmond. He was a commander in the Criminal Investigations, Internal Affairs and Uniform Operations units.
Nowlin earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational management and development from Bluefield College and graduated from the FBI National Academy.
The Richmond Fed serves the Fifth Federal Reserve District, which includes the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and most of West Virginia.
