April 2014 eBrief

This issue highlights an economic brief that provides an overview of how the Fed’s authority to purchase mortgage-related securities developed over time as well as a working paper that finds the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) provides insurance to unskilled single mothers and may do so without compromising their incentives to work. This eBrief also includes an article that looks at EITC usage in the Fifth Federal Reserve District as well as our quarterly newsletter which highlights activities the Bank is conducting throughout the Fifth District.
