Region Focus is a quarterly magazine that provides information on, and analysis of, the Fifth District economy and the public-policy issues affecting it. The Fifth District consists of the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and most of West Virginia. The material appearing in Region Focus is collected and developed by the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.
