My research primarily focuses on the effect of credit markets frictions (lack of commitment, asymmetric information) on debt, default, and economic development. I also study the design of optimal contracts under moral hazard.
Juan Sanchez is an economist in the Research Department. He joined the Richmond Fed in August 2008 after earning his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester.
