2016 Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality Award Winner
This award recognizes corporate policies and practices and is a measure of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality within organizations. The Richmond Fed obtained a perfect score on the Human Right’s Campaign Corporate Equality Index Survey for 2016, which designates an organization as a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.”
2016 Capital District Champions of Disability Employment Award
The Richmond Fed received this award for our dedication to hiring and supporting individuals with disabilities. The Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services recognizes organizations across the state for their efforts to promote a diversified and inclusive workplace.
2013 Sterling Executive Partnership Award Winner
This award recognizes business leaders who contribute positively in the areas of employee focus, motivation and development, and vision and culture. The award was sponsored by the Richmond Society for Human Resource Management and the Greater Richmond Chamber.

We were pleased to be a finalist in this competition that recognizes employers that focus on employee engagement, community involvement, inclusion and diversity, and workforce development.
2012 Wellness in the Workplace Award Winner
The Virginia Business Coalition on Health recognized us for our Wellness@Work initiative. Our program helps employees focus on fitness, nutrition, prevention and emotional well-being through on-site fitness centers and classes, smoking cessation support, monthly wellness events and a program that rewards healthy choices.
