Minutes from the First Meeting to Organize the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond

Having won the bid for the Fifth District in April 1914, Richmond officials went to work in May organizing the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. The task, as temporary chairman John Miller put it, was “…to undertake, as I see it, a very important and responsible duty, namely, the first steps in the organization of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.” These are the complete minutes of that first meeting.
