Catherine A. Meloy is president and CEO of Goodwill of Greater Washington and the Goodwill Excel Center in Washington, D.C. The Goodwill Board of Trustees hired Meloy in 2003 to dramatically extend the reach and vitality of the organization and enable it to serve an even broader segment of the disabled and disadvantaged community. Prior to joining Goodwill of Greater Washington, Meloy had a 20-year management career in the radio industry.

Goodwill of Greater Washington employs more than 800 employees, has 15 retail stores, and has annual revenues of $42 million. As part of its mission to expand its service footprint in the community, Goodwill of Greater Washington will open its first adult diploma charter high school in the fall of 2016 under the title of the Goodwill Excel Center.

Meloy’s involvement in the greater Washington, D.C., community includes serving as a director on the board of directors for the Greater Washington Board of Trade, Federal City Council, the D.C. Chamber of Commerce, MedStar Health and SourceAmerica. She is also a member of the D.C. Workforce Investment Council and the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board.
