Alan Brill is president and CEO of Capon Valley Bank, which has branches in West Virginia and Virginia. He also is secretary and treasurer of the bank’s holding company, Highlands Bankshares Inc., based in Petersburg, W.Va.
Brill joined Capon Valley Bank in 1975, working in roles from teller to lending and operations before being named to his current position in 2001.
Brill’s industry and community service includes roles with the West Virginia Bankers Association and the Hardy Community Foundation. He also has provided leadership to the Region 8 Planning & Development Council Board, the Town of Wardensville Planning Committee and Timber Ridge Christian Church. A graduate of the West Virginia School of Banking, Brill has taught a class on the “Principles of Bank Operations.”
His past service includes numerous organizations, such as the Community Bankers of West Virginia, Cacapon & Lost Rivers Land Trust, the Hampshire and Hardy County Chambers of Commerce, Hampshire County Schools Planning Committee and the Little Me-Great Me Day Care Center.
Brill earned a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Shepherd University.
