Becky Bareford is senior vice president with responsibility for the Bank’s human resources and finance functions, including HR Operations, Talent and Organizational Development, the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Corporate Accounting, and the Federal Reserve System’s National Procurement Office and consolidated Payroll operations.
Becky Bareford is a native of Virginia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Virginia Tech in 1996.
Bareford joined the Federal Reserve in 1998 as a financial analyst. Prior to her appointment as senior vice president and a member of the management team in 2014, she served as vice president in the Bank’s HR department, with responsibility for the Federal Reserve’s Systemwide payroll operation. She also has held leadership positions in the Bank’s Accounting and Procurement departments, and was named an assistant vice president and officer of the Bank in 2009. Prior to joining the Fed, she worked in the private sector in financial management roles.
In addition to her work with Systemwide Payroll operations, Bareford represents the Bank on the Federal Reserve System’s Subcommittee on Human Resources (SOHR) and previously served on the leadership team during the establishment of the Federal Reserve’s National Procurement Office. Bareford serves as co-sponsor for one of the Bank’s employee resource networks focused on maintaining a diverse work environment by raising awareness of the value differently abled individuals bring to the organization, where all employees can contribute at their maximum potential by realizing the value of those that are differently abled. She is also a board member of the Virginia Business Leadership Network.
