Jennifer Burns is senior vice president in the Supervision, Regulation and Credit department.
Jennifer Burns is currently responsible for supervisory activities oversight for the Richmond Fed’s state member banks and holding companies. In addition to her Fifth District responsibilities, Burns serves as a member of the Federal Reserve System’s Senior Supervisory Group, Co-Chair of the Consumer Compliance Management Group, on the Quantitative Resource Oversight Committee, the Subcommittee for Planning and Performance, the Subcommittee for Supervision Administration and Technology, the Large Institution Supervision Coordinating Committee and the System Leadership Initiative Advisory Group. She also was recently appointed to represent the Bank on the Women’s Leadership Initiative Advisory Council for United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg.
Burns began her career at the Richmond Fed in 1991 as an assistant examiner in the Bank Supervision and Regulation Department. Since that time, she has held various roles within the Department, including leading the Bank of America supervisory team, and culminating in her promotion to Senior Vice President – Supervision, Regulation and Credit in 2010.
