Sophia Kazinnik

Sophia Kazinnik is a senior quantitative analyst in our Supervision, Regulation and Credit department. She is involved in a number of supervisory project, including cyber and operational risk. In addition, she works on the development and implementation of Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools to supervisory purposes. Her research interests include central bank communication, financial stability, cyber risk, and application of NLP methods to problems in economics and finance. Prior to joining the Richmond Fed, Sophia worked for the University of Houston teaching courses in macroeconomics.

Sophia received her bachelor’s degree from the Tel Aviv University (Tel-Aviv, Israel). She earned her doctoral degree in economics from the University of Houston.
