Thaler McCormick

Thaler McCormick has been with ForKids for over 20 years, serving as Chief Executive since 2001. During her tenure, she has grown the organization from serving just 16 families in Norfolk to more than 70,000 individuals annually in Southeastern Virginia. As Chief Executive she has actively pursued and implemented a broad network of public, private and non-profit partnerships making ForKids one of the largest, most effective service providers for families and children experiencing homelessness in Virginia. ForKids has garnered numerous local, state and national awards and earned strong public support for its innovative, result-driven programs as well as for its creative and effective engagement with the community. Prior to her work with ForKids, Thaler worked as a Senior Consultant for Arthur Andersen in Washington, D.C. and wrote on housing and development issues for the Urban Land Institute. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Miami University and a Master's Degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia School of Architecture.
