The Collaboration of Research Economists (CORE) model combines frontier research and an innovative delivery method to advance collaboration within the economics profession.

The research department of the FRB of Richmond invites submissions for a conference on models of decentralized markets that incorporate explicitly search-and-matching frictions, limited commitment, and/or private information, to study issues related to liquidity, money, financial and non-financial intermediaries, asset prices, over-the-counter markets, and labor markets.

The conference will take place at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond November 2 - 3, 2023, and will be composed of 8-10 papers.

Conference submission information:

  • The deadline for submissions for the conference is July 1, 2023.
  • Decisions will be given to the accepted submissions by August 1, 2023.

Special issue of the Journal of Economic Theory

The conference will be accompanied by a special issue of the Journal of Economic Theory on the same topics. Details on the submission process will be provided on the website of the journal:

Please note that submissions for the conference and the journal are independent: you may submit a to the conference, to the journal, or both, and having a paper accepted for the conference is neither necessary nor sufficient to be considered for publication in this special issue of JET.
