The annual Opportunity SC Conference is the largest community development convention and forum in South Carolina. The Conference introduces attendees to innovative and sustainable solutions for low-wealth communities in the state. The Richmond Fed will be partnering with the South Carolina Association for Community Economic Development (SCACED) for the conference.

Due to the impending Hurricane Irma, Opportunity SC: 2017 previously scheduled for September 13-15 has been rescheduled for December 6 – 8, 2017, at the Doubletree Hotel in Charleston on the Market.

Registration: If you are currently registered for the conference your registration will be transferred to the new dates.  If you are unable to attend on December 6 – 8, 2017 in Charleston please contact SCACED to cancel and obtain a refund for registration.



Community development practitioners, organizations that focus on the economic well-being of low- and moderate-income communities and individuals, foundations, community leaders, policy makers, financial institutions, elected officials.
