Hear from Darla Moore School of Business economists plus government leaders about economic trends, issues, opportunities and risks affecting businesses in South Carolina and the United States in the coming year.

Learn about investment opportunities across South Carolina from the new federal tax provision called “Opportunity Zones.” Equity investments in real estate and business may qualify for significant federal tax incentives. Our panel will share ideas for building economic development opportunities in the state.

The program will feature:

  • Expert insights into the new Federal tax initiative that will shape South Carolina’s economy
  • A panel discussion with South Carolina leaders on opportunity zones led by Jeanne Milliken Bonds, Senior Manager, Regional Community Development, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
  • And, Moore School economists Douglas Woodward, Ph.D. and Joseph Von Nessen, Ph.D. with the 2019 Economic Outlook
