Richmond Fed Hosts Workforce Skills Gap Meeting

The Richmond Fed will host a meeting on bridging workforce skill gaps on June 13. Partners include the Centralina Council of Governments and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

The meeting will highlight the development of Centralina’s Career Headlight, a new web-based tool that matches students and job seekers with in-demand local careers, the skills needed, and local education and training.

Richmond Fed Economist Ray Owens will discuss the economic value of using a data-based approach to closing the job skills gap. Other speakers include Victor Galloway, FDIC community affairs specialist.
