The Federal Reserve is holding a public town hall meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina, on October 31 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. to present information about its October 3 Federal Register Notice, which provides a formal mechanism for the public to comment on potential actions the Federal Reserve could take to promote ubiquitous, safe, and efficient faster payments in the United States by facilitating real-time interbank settlement of faster payments. The public comment period ends on December 14.
