Richmond Fed to Hold Community Listening Session

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond will hold a community listening session on May 8 as part of an effort by the Federal Reserve to review the strategy, tools and communication practices it uses to pursue its congressionally-assigned mandate of maximum employment and price stability.
This “Fed Listens” event will feature Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin, Federal Reserve Governor Lael Brainard and a panel of regional leaders discussing how they see the Fed’s dual mandate affecting the economy in their communities. The panelists are Sherrie Brach Armstrong, CEO of the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond; Tim Davey, Timmons Group economic development manager; Shawn Smith, director of workforce development at Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia; and Robert S. Ukrop, chairman and CEO, Ukrop's Homestyle Foods.
