New Features: Community Development Resources

Please take a moment to visit the Community Development Resources of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond as we have added several new features to our website. Among them is an interactive data and mapping resource which allows users to spatially display data and create customized maps of communities, counties and states using PolicyMap’s web-based mapping tool. This resource replaces our Community Data and Mapping Resource Centers.  We have also introduced new resources for small businesses.

Our Resources include:

Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs)
Information on CDFIs, with a particular focus on the Southeast region of the U.S. as well as a dedicated section on CDFI banks, also known as Community Development Banks (CDBs).

Data and Mapping
A compilation of select data sources and mapping tools including PolicyMap’s web-based mapping tool, Map Your Community. Users can create, customize and print maps of communities, counties and states using a select number of economic and demographic indicators.

Latest information on the Federal Reserve's efforts to mitigate the impact of foreclosure on our neighborhoods including maps, reports, consumer information and community resources.

Policy summaries of community development related regulations and provisions and accompanying publications and resources with a focus on CRA and HMDA.

Small Business
State-categorized (VA, MD, NC, SC and WV) programs and resources aimed at helping small businesses access the technical and financial resources they need.
