In addition to tracking regional and national economic conditions, my research interests include housing and household credit outcomes.
Sonya Ravindranath Waddell is a regional economist in the Research Department of the Richmond Fed. Waddell's work involves supervising a staff that tracks and analyzes regional and national economic data, presenting on regional and national economic conditions, and writing for a variety of internal and external publications. In recent years, her research and analysis has focused on mortgage markets and household credit conditions.
Prior to joining the Richmond Fed in January 2008, Waddell worked as an economist in the Virginia Department of Planning and Budget and at ICF International in Fairfax, Va. She has also taught empirical methods at Virginia Commonwealth University.
