John Graham

Director of The CFO Survey, and Finance Professor, Duke University

John R. Graham is D. Richard Mead professor of finance at the Fuqua School of Business and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. His teaching and research focuses on corporate finance and has won several teaching and research awards. Graham directed Duke’s Global Business Outlook Survey for 23 years. Graham is past president of the Financial Management Association, president elect of the American Finance Association, and former president of the Western Finance Association. Graham co-edited the Journal of Finance for six years and worked as a senior economist at Virginia Power for seven years. He holds a Ph.D. in finance from Duke University, a master's degree in economics from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the College of William & Mary.
