Kushal Patel is a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Patel graduated from Boston University with a bachelor's degree in economics and mathematics and a master's degree in economics. His research interests include macroeconomics and monetary theory, and industrial organization.

As a second-year associate, Patel collaborates with economists at the Richmond Fed. He has worked with Marios Karabarbounis to study occupation distance and wage growth and assists John O'Trakoun with his weekly compilation of high-frequency economic data.
