An Important Message

The Fed Experience is no longer accepting requests to visit.
If you are interested in a presentation about the Federal Reserve or the economy, you can Request A Speaker from the Richmond Fed. If you would like classroom resources about the Federal Reserve, visit our Resources and Programs page.

Additional Resources

These pre-visit resources are designed to get your students ready for a visit to the Fed Experience.

  • Concept Connection, a lively activity in which students analyze clues and connect the vocabulary and concepts in the exhibit to the real world.
  • In Plain English, an easy-to-read booklet and virtual tour DVD on the Federal Reserve System. Includes educational activities, ideal for grades 6-12.  Free from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

Bring The Experience back to your classroom after your visit. These interdisciplinary post-visit activities will fully engage your students by integrating economics with writing, art, music, performance and kinesthetic movement.

  • Tell a Tale: students draw connections as they weave economic concepts though a story telling adventure.
  • Picture This: students harness their artistic talents to illustrate economic concepts.

  • Fed Experience Idol: students compose and perform songs using economic terms.
  • Toss a Term: students absorb vocabulary while catching and tossing economic terms.
