David Aldama-Navarrete

David Aldama-Navarrete is an intermediate financial economist in the Supervision, Regulation and Credit department. He joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in 2020 after obtaining a doctorate in finance from Boston College. His research interests lie in banking, the political economy of finance, loan contracting and the finance-growth nexus.

Prior to his graduate studies, Aldama-Navarrete worked in microfinance for over five years in Latin America. He holds a bachelor’s degree from ITAM in Mexico City, and a master’s degree in international business from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
