The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond has been led by some of the greatest economic minds of the 21st century.
Mr. Broaddus was president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond from 1993 to 2004.
He joined the Bank's research staff as an Economist in 1970. He was named Senior Vice President and Director of Research in 1985, and was promoted to President on January 1, 1993. In addition to his responsibilities at the Richmond Bank, Mr. Broaddus served every third year as a member of the Federal Open Market Committee of the Federal Reserve System.
