District of Columbia
Payroll employment in the District of Columbia declined by 100 jobs (0.0 percent) in March. The unemployment rate rose 0.1 percentage point to 5.2 percent.
Maryland
Maryland payroll employment decreased by 100 jobs (0.0 percent) in March. The unemployment rate has risen 0.1 percentage point from February to 2.5 percent.
North Carolina
Payroll employment in North Carolina increased 500 jobs (0.0 percent) in March. The unemployment rate remained steady at 3.5 percent.
South Carolina
Payroll employment in South Carolina increased 7,200 jobs (0.3 percent) in March. The unemployment rate remained constant at 3.1 percent.
Virginia
Payroll employment in Virginia increased by 16,500 jobs (0.3 percent) in March. The unemployment rate edged down 0.1 percentage point to a rate of 2.9 percent.
West Virginia
West Virginia payroll employment decreased by 2,000 jobs (0.3 percent) in March. The unemployment rate remained flat over the month at 4.3 percent.
