Dr. Susan Mims

President and CEO

Dogwood Health Trust

Dr. Susan Mims is president and CEO of Dogwood Health Trust, a $1.7 billion private foundation, where she leads a team of public health-oriented philanthropists.

Mims previously worked with the Mountain Area Health Education Center and chaired the Department of Community and Public Health at UNC Health Sciences. She also served as medical director at the Buncombe County Health Department.

Mims graduated from the University of Georgia and earned a Masters of Public Health and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina.
