Efdal Ulas Misirli
Efdal Ulas Misirli is Senior Financial Economist on our Quantitative Supervision and Research team in the Supervision, Regulation and Credit Department at the Richmond Fed. Misirli has contributed to the Stress Test National Program as a model developer, team lead and economist, and currently serves as a senior economist in its market risk function. His areas of expertise include market scenario design, securities, fair value options and credit risk. Misirli also conducts academic research in empirical asset pricing, stock market anomalies and scenario design. He has published articles in Management Science, Financial Management and European Financial Management.
Before joining the Richmond Fed in 2016, Misirli was an assistant professor of finance at the University of Connecticut.
Misirli earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bogazici University in Turkey and doctoral degree in finance from the University of Rochester.
