Trisha Biswas is a regional economist at the Baltimore Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. In this role, she discerns policy insights and regional economic trends from our business surveys and engagements with the business community in Maryland, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Prior to joining the Richmond Fed in 2026, Biswas was an economics graduate intern at the U.S. Census Bureau and a research assistant in the Division of Financial Stability at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. She has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland.
