David McClenney

Senior Vice President and General Auditor

David McClenney joined the Richmond Fed in 2011 and has served as Senior Vice President and general auditor since June 2025. He currently leads the Bank’s internal audit efforts to improve operational integrity, efficiency and effectiveness.

Prior to joining the Fed, McClenney served as a senior IT auditor for the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and accounting information systems from Virginia Tech and his master’s in information systems from Virginia Commonwealth University.
