David Aldama-Navarrete is Intermediate Financial Economist on our Quantitative Supervision and Research team in the Supervision, Regulation and Credit Department at the Richmond Fed. His research interests lie in banking, the political economy of finance, loan contracting and the finance-growth nexus. He joined the Richmond Fed in 2020.

Prior to his graduate studies, Aldama-Navarrete worked in microfinance for over five years in Latin America.

Aldama-Navarrete obtained a doctorate in finance from Boston College. He holds a bachelor’s degree from ITAM in Mexico City, and a master’s degree in international business from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
