Nick Weitzel is a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Weitzel graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in economics, minoring in public policy. His research interests are primarily in applied microeconomics, more specifically labor economics, developmental economics, and environmental economics.

As a second-year associate, Weitzel collaborates with several economists at the Richmond Fed. He assists Toan Phan on his research regarding the impact of sea level rise predictions on coastal property values.
