Bernie W. Mazyck is the founder, president, and CEO of South Carolina Association for Community Economic Development. He has chaired the board of the National Alliance of Community Economic Development Associations.

Mazyck and his organization have helped the Richmond Fed to better understand economic conditions in the region and worked to help expand the capacity of community development organizations across the state.

Mazyck previously was vice president of community development for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, and was a program manager for the city of Charlotte, North Carolina.
