Kyle DeMaria
Kyle DeMaria is a regional economist and advisor for workforce pathways at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. In this role, DeMaria leads research and engagements related to labor markets and workforce development. His areas of interest include skills and occupational employment, workforce development, economic mobility, labor market information, and the workforce data ecosystem.
Prior to joining the Richmond Fed in 2026, DeMaria worked at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) where he helped lead the O*NET Program, the nation’s primary source for information on occupations. He served as the editor of DOL’s Trendlines data publication and directed data analytics projects with WIOA and Apprenticeship program offices.
Previously, DeMaria spent eight years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia where he conducted research to reduce barriers to education and work and support inclusive economic growth. He was a co-author on the Occupational Mobility Explorer — a data-driven tool designed to help workers achieve economic mobility by leveraging their transferable skills.
DeMaria has a bachelor’s degree in human geography and economics from the College of William and Mary and an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania. He was an adjunct instructor of quantitative methods at Drexel University.
