Speakers are not available for presentations from 10 days before through the Friday after a Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting. These dates are known as blackout dates.

Note: Requests to speak at private (or admission/fee-based) events, events sponsored by a for-profit company, investment or financial firm, or events that might create the perception that an attendee or client may experience preferential access to Federal Reserve information, or personnel are generally not accepted. Federal Reserve policy prohibits staff from speaking to political organizations or at events of a partisan political nature, including political gatherings and/or at fundraising events.
