Sonia is a senior quantitative analyst in the Supervision, Regulation and Credit department. Her areas of research are microeconometrics, health economics, labor economics and financial economics. 

She earned a PhD degree in Economics from Temple University and received a master’s degrees in Economics from Sharif University of Technology (Iran). Sonia’s Ph.D. dissertation includes three essays on developing treatment effects set-ups in interactive fixed effects models and application of such set-ups to answer empirical policy evaluation research questions.
